Combat in general is frowned upon in main chat rooms...though small spats are tolerated. In the Bringmoore Inn, fighting that is part of a larger storyline is tolerated, but spontanious spatting that turns into a barfight is largly frowned upon. More often than not, you will be ignored. Description is the key. Granted, no one wants their screen bogged down with paragraphs upon paragraphs describing the single swinging of one sword, but saying a little more than "stabs him" is expected. Just use your brains and you SHOULD be fine...
